Starting anything for the first time is a phase of compulsory dilemma. One wants to be noticed as well as not feel revealing in the first go. This is very similar to a day of wedding where the bride wants to noticed by the groom with the mystery of coming life intact.
The compulsory dilemma is a brain child of compulsory choices that one has to make in life irrespective of the gender. However I think that one gender always have an upper hand at making those decisions and coming out of the dilemma than the other. The constant reluctance to take the compulsory decisions creates compulsory dilemma
Talking about the life I have with keeping the mystery of identity intact, it started with one compulsory decision society had forced me to take and got pulled into the tornado of redundant compulsions. After 10 years of loyalty and a beautiful gift of life, I was perusing through my call list and realised that I didn’t only give my time under this loyalty program but also the ability to think about anything or anyone else during the time of need or necessity. One of the vows under this loyalty program was to share happiness and sorrows till the death do us apart but as the time went by, it was all reduced down to the society’s expectations of me and my life and how much revealing I have to be to amuse other people’s curiosity in my life events.
I couldn’t help but think that is it bad to be private and protective of your loved ones? What pleasure one gets from peeking into other person’s life and measure the quotient of happiness and sorrows with their own?
The major realisation was how forgiving the other hand can be of these societal meddling that they would spend their life justifying other people’s motivation rather than protecting the ones who are their universe. I was always under impression that sharing happiness and sorrows with each other was the meaning of the vow we take but I had no idea that sharing with society and allowing them to meddle was the hidden meaning behind it.
Well, one to society and zero to the loyalty program members.!!
Compulsory dilemma of when to stand up against meddling is still an outstanding outlier for many including myself. I shall enlighten others as and when I find an answer or a solution, till then keep on fighting the difficult Corona of society.
